Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box red velvet cake mix (15.25 oz)

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 24 peppermint Hershey’s Kisses

  • 1/4 cup crushed candy canes or peppermint bits

  • Mini marshmallows (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.

  • In a large bowl, mix cake mix, oil, eggs, and vanilla until a soft dough forms.

  • Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place 2 inches apart on prepared sheets.

  • Bake 8–10 minutes until set but still soft.

  • Immediately press a peppermint Kiss into the center of each cookie.

  • Sprinkle with crushed candy canes and mini marshmallows while warm.

  • Cool completely before serving to let the chocolate set.

Notes

For extra peppermint flavor, add 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract to the dough.

Chill dough for 15 minutes if it feels too sticky to roll.

Store cookies in a cool place to keep the Kisses intact.
